Motels are the best accommodations when you travel around Korea in my opinion. It's easy to find super clean and equiped rooms wherever you are, even in a small town. Better not think about what happened in the room though. :P
I've made it a principle to only go to motels with "jacuzzi rooms", and the best way to spot them is to look for the fanciest ones with neon lights and deco. Also, never hesitate to ask to see the room, they agree 99% of the times. It's also value for money since it's between 40 000 krw and 70 000 krw for big confortable rooms (again, ask to see the rooms!). It's often equipped with everything, you only need to bring yourself and your own clothes. :)
