I have just moved from FatCow to JustHost, an other cheap host. My three weeks with FatCow weren't good at all. I read bad reviews1 about FatCow, but I didn't know it was that bad. I don't need a perfect host, for what this website is, but still, it was too much. Their website looks good and trustworthy but don't be fooled by the cows and the green.
- The servers are incredibly slow.
- The website was down 26 times for a total length or 4h30min in just two weeks.
- A lot of 500 errors popping out of nowhere.
- It took a week, a few tickets & live chats to have the domain name registered.
- They lie.
I had a week left before the end of my 30-days trial, so when the FTP was down once again during a WordPress upgrade, I decided it was enough. Still waiting for the refund, hope it will be okay!
I have no problems with JustHost for the moment, the servers are faster, mail forwarders are much faster too. The only annoying thing are their "addons ads". Very annoying.
